‘Solar Power Camps’

Chandigarh, 29 January, 2016: Chandigarh Renewal Energy, Science & Technology Promotion Society (CREST), UT Chandigarh is organizing ‘Solar Power Camps’ in association with Yuvsatta, an NGO on 31st January, 2016 at two locations namely; Village Khuda Ali Sher at 09.30 to 10.30 AM and at Community Centre,  Sec. 8-A, Chandigarh from 11.00 to 12.00 Noon, on the same day.
 The basic idea of organizing such Solar Power Camps is to sensitize the people of Chandigarh specially the domestic residents to install Rooftop Solar Power Plants on their houses and feel proud to be ‘Green Power Producer’.  During the Solar Power Camps, the Net Metering/ Gross Metering Regulations issued by Hon’ble Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for Union Territories & Goa shall be explained to the public so as to attract them towards highly lucrative tariff of Rs.8.51 per unit (kwhr) offered by Electricity Department UT Chandigarh if Solar Power Plant is commissioned before 31st March, 2016.

The next year tariff will be on lower side.  Similarly procedure for availing 30% subsidy shall also be explained to the public including presence of local empanelled Solar Power Aggregators who have been empanelled by CREST for installation of Rooftop Solar Power Plants. The Solar Power Aggregators shall be available for discussion with public to clear their queries/ doubts and to facilitate in obtaining necessary Regulatory approvals including their easy finance options.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
