Camp organized for preparing Disability Certificate

Chandigarh, 26 February, 2016: A camp for preparing Disability Certificate was organized today i.e. 26th February, 2016 by State Resource Centre in collaboration with Social Welfare Department in Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Village Dhanas, Chandigarh. The camp received an overwhelming response as it recorded the highest number of beneficiaries ever attended in such camps being organized every month. This huge response was caused due to the survey conducted by Social Welfare Department in the month of February, 2016 at 10 villages through its Village Co-ordinators under Pooran Shakti Kendras for identifying the beneficiaries under its different schemes. 
The Social Welfare Department provided to and fro bus facility to the Persons with Disabilities who were identified as not having disability certificate during the said survey. In first phase Dadu Majra, Dhanas and Sector-25 were covered. The total disability certificates prepared in this camp were 62. The department also filled up 10 forms under disability pension and 2 forms under aids & appliances. The total numbers of beneficiaries registered in the camp were 208.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
