Excise Policy for the financial year 2016-17

Chandigarh, 26 February, 2016: Chandigarh Administration has approved the Excise Policy for the financial year 2016-17 (commencing from 01.04.2016 to 31.03.2017). With regard to the allotment of retail sale liquor licenses (L-2/L-14A), it is mentioned that there will be in total 48 groups of retail sale liquor licenses across the entire city. The total quota of IMFL will be 67.5 lac proof liters and for country liquor, it will be 7.5 proof liters, and for both IMFL and country liquor, it will be 75 lac proof liters and it is kept as same as was in last year.
