Excise Policy for the financial year 2016-17

Chandigarh, 26 February, 2016: Chandigarh Administration has approved the Excise Policy for the financial year 2016-17 (commencing from 01.04.2016 to 31.03.2017). With regard to the allotment of retail sale liquor licenses (L-2/L-14A), it is mentioned that there will be in total 48 groups of retail sale liquor licenses across the entire city. The total quota of IMFL will be 67.5 lac proof liters and for country liquor, it will be 7.5 proof liters, and for both IMFL and country liquor, it will be 75 lac proof liters and it is kept as same as was in last year. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
