Chandigarh, 23rd February, 2016:- With an aim to strengthen the
e-governance capabilities and existing sampark network, Chandigarh
Administration today laid foundation stone of new e-sampark building in
community centre of sector – 27, Chandigarh.
Sh.
Vijay Dev, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator laid the foundation stone at the
site where a full fledge e-sampark building will be constructed and he also dug
the land after laying the foundations stone. This will be state of the art
sampark centre which will have all the modern amenities and will have 4
counters equipped to offer all 78 G2C, G2B & B2C services to the
denizen of sector-27 and surrounding sectors. The size of the sampark centre
will be 39.9” x 32’-71/2” and will be constructed in 1297.00 sq ft area. The
sampark centre will also have a dedicated ATM machine.
On
this occasion Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator said “ e-Sampark
Centres are the most convenient, accessible, efficient & reliable
government outlets visited by the citizens of Chandigarh to access the
public services and we are committed for creating such infrastructure in
every sector of the city to make all public services accessible to the
residents in their locality. By strengthening the network of sampark
centres in city will make the public services more reachable to the residents.”
He also honored the locality sweepers for their contribution to the society in
a function hosted by the Resident Welfare Association of sector -27. He further
added that it is important to fill the gap between the citizens and
the government to create positive synergies and assured the residents of sector
-27 that he will come in the month of June 2016 to inaugurate the fully operational
sampark centre and urged to hold official and cultural session with the senior
citizens.

Administration and our continuous effort is to enable residents with an easy
way to access to all government information and service, while downplaying the
structure of government.”

Dhawan, IAS said “ Sampark Centres are the single point of interaction
between citizen & government and we are consistently working to strengthen
and make this government –public interface more efficient which would
play a vital role in our journey to become a smart city.”

Chandigarh, Sh. S.K Setia, Chief Architect, Chandigarh Administration,
Sh. Mukesh Anand, Chief Engineer, Chandigarh Administration,
senior officials of Administration, members of Resident Welfare &
Market Association of Sector – 27.
