Inauguration of 10 kWp Grid tied Rooftop Solar Power Plant

Chandigarh, 17th February, 2016: 10 kWp Grid tied Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant will be inaugurated by at Government High School, Sarangpur, UT Chandigarh by Smt. Kirron Kher, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Chandigarh on 18th February, 2016 at 1130 hrs. This Power Plant has been implemented by CREST (Chandigarh Renewal Energy, Science & Technology Promotion Society).
The ‘Sarangpur Village’ has been adopted as Model Village by Hon’ble Member of Parliament, UT Chandigarh under ‘Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) of Government of India and as part of providing better & modern facilities, this Solar Power Plant is being installed in the Govt. High School, Sarangpur. The total cost of the Project is Rs.10.83 lac which includes operation & maintenance charge for 10 years. The Plant shall be able to generate 13,000 kWh (units) per year.
