Chandigarh, 17th February,
2016: In an action plan prepared by Dr. Rajinder K. Sharma, Designated
Officer I/c Food Safety Administration, Chandigarh Health Department,
Chandigarh, a joint team of Food Safety Officers Sh. Bharat Kanojia , Sh.
Surinder Pal Singh today inspected the area of Village Badheri, Sector 40
and Manimarja, Chandigarh and six samples of Milk were taken to check the
purity of milk from different dairies operating in the City and sent the
samples for analysis & examination. The Dairy owners were strictly
instructed to adhere to the norms of Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 and
Rules, 2011 and do not indulge in mixing of adulterants or water in the
milk.
Chandigarh 10 th August 2017: In compliance of the directions of the Government of India to take steps for improvement of ranking in “Ease of Doing Business’ index, the Chandigarh Administration has notified Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017. The existing building byelaws/orders/notifications issued from time to time have been reviewed bya committee. Since amendments to the building Rules were never compiled before, therefore, comparative analysis of existing building byelaws applicable in Chandigarh was done viz-a-viz Haryana Building Code 2016, TCPO Model Building Byelaws 2016 and NBC 2017. This exercise has simplified the building Rules as each and every rule has been tabulated and individual chapters including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Institutional, IT Park, High Rise buildings etc. The report had been earlier approved by the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh after seeking views from general public.
