Regional Workshop of National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI)

Chandigarh, 23rd February, 2016:- National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI) is organizing a Regional Workshop at Hotel Mountview, Chandigarh on 26th February, 2016. The conference will be attended by delegates from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh. The main aim of the conference is to discuss the problems that are faced by Minority Educational Institutions especially with regard to deprivation and violation of educational rights of minorities granted under Article 30 of the Constitution.
                   The conference will be presided over by H.E. Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, Punjab and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar will inaugurate and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal will deliver the keynote address. The Minority Ministers from Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh will also join.

Chandigarh, 27 th November 2018: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act,   1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), intends to amend the Chandigarh Water Supply Bye-Laws 2011 as amended from time to time and as in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation (as extended to UT Chandigarh) Act, 1994, read with sub section (2) of section 7A of the capital of Punjab (Development &Regulation) Act, 1952, the Administrator UT Chandigarh after according approval to the same propose to issue the draft of notification which is hereby published for information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
