Sale, Usage and Storage of Acid

Chandigarh, 2nd February, 2016: In compliance of the orders of the Home Secretary issued vide public notice dated. 29.11.2013 regarding Sale, usage and storage of Acid, Dr Tapasya Raghav, IAS, SDM (East), Sh. Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Chandigarh along with a team of Drug Inspectors, Chandigarh conducted a surprise checking in Govt. Model Senior Secondary School Sec-26 and Govt. Model Senior Secondary School Sec-27 and found out that since there is no laboratory in Sec-26 School, no acid has been found. 

GMSSS Sec-27 has been found using acids in their laboratories and there was no stock register as mandatory to be maintained for such usage and storage of acid, so they have been directed to maintain the stock register for usage of Acid in their laboratories henceforth and send the fortnightly report in the office of the SDM(E), U.T., Chandigarh.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
