Scheme for financial assistance

Chandigarh, 10th February, 2016: The Government of India has provided a scheme for providing financial assistance for undertaking various activities outlined in the persons with disability act. The details are available on the website of the department www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in. 
The scheme invites NGO/ interested agencies to associate with the department in providing skill development , training to PWD and other components of “Accessible India campaign” (Sugamya Bharat Adhyan). The scheme will provide grant-in-aid to the implementing agencies directly. The department is in the process of formulating the details. The interested parties / NGO’s are invited to go through the scheme and associate with the department for this cause. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
