Charges assigned to Officers of Chandigarh Administration

Chandigarh, 30th March, 2016:- In Supersession of all the previous order, H.E Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh is pleased to assign the charges of the various departments to the officers with immediate effect.

Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS Adviser to the Administrator will also be holding the charge of Chief Vigilance officer. Sh. Maninder Singh, IAS will hold the charge of Chairman, Chandigarh Housing Board and Secretary Housing. Sh. Narasimha, IAS will hold the charges of Secretary Statistics, Secretary Printing and Stationery, Secretary Rural Development and Panchayats and Secretary Agriculture.
Sh. Sarvjit Singh, IAS, Finance Secretary, Chandigarh Administration will also be holding the charges of Secretary Engineering, Secretary Sports, Secretary Treasury and Accounts, Secretary Excise and Taxation, Secretary Local Fund Examiner, Secretary Education, Secretary Planning, Chief Administrator, Secretary Urban Planning / Metro and Secretary Information and Technology.
Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration will also be holding the charges of U.T. Secretariat Establishment, Secretary Police, Secretary Prisons, Secretary Revenue, Secretary Health, Secretary Medical Education and Research, Chief Electoral Officer, Secretary Law and Justice, Secretary Local Government, Secretary Water Resources, Chairman CITCO, Secretary Environment and Forest, Secretary Science and Technology, Secretary Culture, Secretary Tourism and Secretary Public Relations.
Smt. Bhawna Garg, IAS, Special Secretary Finance will also be holding the charges of  Secretary Social Welfare, Secretary Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology, Chairman Child & Women Development Corporation, Chairman SC, BC & Minorities Financial & Development Cooperation, Secretary Cooperation, Director Treasury & Accounts, Project Director Educity and Director Planning and Statistics.
Sh. K.K. Jindal, IAS will hold the Charges of Secretary Personnel/Vigilance, Secretary Labour, Secretary Employment, Secretary Hospitality, Secretary Industries, Secretary Technical Education, and Secretary Transport. Sh. Baldeo Purushartha, IAS, Commissioner Municipal Corporation will also be holding the charge of Nodal Officer, Smart City.
Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner- cum- District Magistrate, Chandigarh will also be holding the charges of  Estate Officer, Excise and Taxation Commissioner, Labour Commissioner, Registrar Cooperative Societies, Agriculture Census Commissioner, President, Zila Sainik Welfare Board, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Secretary Agricultural Marketing Board, Controller Civil Defence,  Director Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology, Director Agriculture and Chairman Wakf Board.
Smt. Kavita Singh, IAS, will be holding the charge of Managing Director CITCO, Dr. S.B. Deepak Kumar, IAS, will be holding the charges of Secretary House Allotment Committee ( Upper), Special Secretary Information Technology, Special Secretary Home/Vigilance/Personnel and Chief Executive Officer Chandigarh Housing Board. Dr. Adapa Karthik, IAS, will hold the charges of Secretary Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Special Secretary Estates, Special Secretary Health and MER, Secretary Chandigarh Housing Board and Special Secretary-cum- Director Industries-cum-General Manager, DIC.
Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, will hold the Charges of Director Higher Education, Secretary House Allotment Committee ( Lower), Director Tourism and Cultural Affairs and Director Hospitality. Sh. Prince Dhawan, IAS, SDM, Central will also be holding the charges of Director Information Technology and Assistant Estate Officer (Headquarter). Smt. Kriti Garg, IAS, SDM South will also hold the charge of Joint chief Electoral Officer and Director Museum & Art Gallery.
Dr. Tapasya Raghav, IAS, SDM East has proceeded on MATERNITY Leave from 08/03/2016, therefore the charge of SDM East has been assigned to Sh. Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS (P) in addition to his own duties.
Smt. Sarita Malik, HCS, will hold the charges of Controller Printing and Stationery, Project Director Beant Singh Memorial and Director Sports. Smt. Ranjit Kaur, HCS will hold the charges of Joint Secretary Jails, Additional I.G. Prisions, Superintendent Model Jail, Director Rural Development & Panchayat and Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad.
Sh. Rajiv Gupta, PCS will hold the charges of Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation and Secretary Municipal Corporation. Sh. S.K. Jain, HCS will hold the charges of Additional Registrar Cooprative Societies, Agriculture census officer and Additional Director (Admn.) Government Medical College Hospital, Chandigarh.
Sh. Amit Talwar, PCS, will hold the charges of Additional Secretary, Urban Planning, Divisional Manager CTU and Director Transport-cum-(ex-officio) Additional Secretary Transport, Registering and Licensing Authority and Additional Deputy Commissioner and Land Acquisition Officer.
Sh. Karnail Singh, PCS, Will hold the charges of Director Technical Education-cum-(ex-officio) Joint Secretary Technical Education, Director Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, HOD Government college of Arts,  Joint Secretary Home Except Jail Department and Principal Government college of Arts. Smt. Navjot Kaur, PCS, will hold the charges of Director Public Relations, Joint Secretary Cooperation, Joint Secretary Employment, Joint Secretary Labour, Joint Secretary Printing & Stationery, Joint Secretary Housing and Chief General Manager CITCO.
Sh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, PCS, will be holding the charge of Director School Educations. Sh. Nishu Nee Namrata Singal, HCS will hold the charges of Director Social Welfare, Managing Director, Chandigarh Schedule Castes, Backward Classes & Minorities Financial & Development Corporation, Chandigarh, Managing Director, Child & Women Development Corporation, Chandigarh and Secretary (ex-officiao) Chandigarh Commission for Protection Of Child Rights.
Sh. Virender Chaudhary, HCS will hold the charges of Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Additional Director Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology, Secretary State Transport Authority, Secretary Red Cross Society, Nodal Officer State Agriculture Marketing Board and Joint Secretary State Agriculture Marketing board.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
