Decisions taken during Chandigarh Housing Board's Meeting

Chandigarh, 1st  March, 2016:
 1.
Clarification on waiving off condition of lock-in-period (5 years) for General Self Financing Housing Scheme Sector-63, Chandigarh.
 It was clarified that in order to give relief to all the allottees, the decision to waive off the condition of Lock-in-period is applicable in all type of transfer cases of dwelling units allotted by the Chandigarh Housing Board.

Providing Trussed Shed (coverage of courtyards and stair cases) at Booths for Rehri Market in Sector-41-A, Chandigarh (Krishna Market)
 After detailed deliberations, the board accorded the administrative approval and estimate sanction of Rs 49,28,536/-(Rupees forty nine lakh twenty eight thousand five hundred thirty six only) for providing Trussed Shed (coverage of courtyards and stair cases) at Booths for Rehri Market in Sector-41-A, Chandigarh (Krishna Market), by utilizing CHB funds at present and the same will be reimbursed by the Estate Officer (U.T)/ Finance Secretary, Chandigarh Administration to the CHB later on.

Permission for internal changes within the covered area of CHB dwelling units.
 It was apprised that appx 64,000 dwelling units have been constructed by the CHB. The allottees who had applied for approval of internal changes could not get quick approvals due to lack of manpower. After detailed deliberations, the board approved that the allottees of the CHB dwelling units shall be allowed to make any internal changes in their dwelling units/ flats/ apartments without any approval from CHB subject to the following conditions:-
 1.    That the internal change is required to be certified to be structurally safe. The owners are required to get the structures to be added/ modified, certified, designed and supervised during construction from qualified structural engineers having M.E./ M.Tech. (Structural engineers registered with the Chandigarh Administration) in the interest of safety of the occupants and in the interest of public safety.
2.    That prior written consent from the allottees of all the floors in the block shall be obtained by the allottee, so that there is no nuisance to anyone arising out of leakages, cracks etc. For the purpose of this, a block is defined as all the dwelling units which are accessed by the common staircase.
3.    That the internal change is as per the updated Chandigarh Urban Development laws and the latest National Building Code (light ventilation, area etc.), certified by a practicing Architect registered with the Council of Architects.
4.    That the internal changes are within the building line, skyline & within the plotted area without any increase in the covered area and there is no change to the exterior face of the building so as to present a uniform street picture.

Appointment of banks for Housing Scheme of 128 Two Bed Room flats in Sector-51-A, Chandigarh.

After detailed deliberations, the board approved the Appointment of the following banks for Housing Scheme of 128 Two Bed Room flats in Sector-51-A, Chandigarh.
1.    State Bank of India, Sector-9, CHB Branch.
2.    Punjab National Bank Sector-8 Branch.
3.    Axis Bank Sector-8 Branch.
4.    ICICI Bank Sector-9 Branch.
5.    Allahabad Bank Sector-17 Branch.
6.    Punjab & Sindh Bank Sector-11 Branch.
7.    IndusInd Bank, Sector-8 Branch.

Investment proposal for Short Term Surpluses Regarding – UTI Mutual Fund
 After detailed deliberations, the board approved to invest some chunk of funds in the UTI Mutual Fund subject to the following conditions:-
(i) There should be an adequate Safety net and amount should be invested in debt schemes.
(ii)There should be assured returns and there should be no scope of deterioration, below the assured returns.

(iii) Investment should be in treasury bills/ tax free instruments.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote".
