Eminent sports personalities invited for Mr. Pat Farmer’s Run

Chandigarh, 17 March, 2016: Eminent sports personalities were invited by the Chandigarh Administration to support Mr. Pat Farmer’s “Spirit of India Run”. Sh. Roshan Lal, SP/Communication and Law & order, Chandigarh Police paid a special visit to the house of Sh. Milkha Singh-former Indian track and field sprinter to personally invite him for the run, cultural programme at Tagore Theatre and Formal Dinner at Mountview. However, it was communicated by his family that due to an outstation trip, Mr. Milkha Singh would not be able to be a part of the event.
Among other eminent sports personalities who were invited and graced the event at Tagore Theatre were, Wing Commander Satish Bhatia, Olympian, Asian Medalist & former national badminton champion, Brig. Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri Retd., President of Chandigarh Athletes Association, Sh. Balbir Singh Sr., three times Olympian Gold medalist in Hockey and Sh. Rajinder Singh Sr., Olympian Arjun Awardee and Dronacharya Awardee for Hockey.
