Flag Off of Spirit of India Run

Chandigarh, 18 March, 2016: Adviser to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS today flagged off Mr. Pat Farmer’s Spirit of India Run in the presence of Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration Sh. Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration, officials from Department of Tourism, Department of Sports Department and students of AIHM and CIHM at Sukhna Lake.

Mr. Pat Farmer was overwhelmed with the warmth and love of Chandigarh Administration and citizens of Chandigarh to support him at every step for the noble cause during his run through Chandigarh as part of Spirit of India Run. After the flag off ceremony, Mr. Farmer continued his run towards Punjab and was accompanied Sh. Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration, Professional Runner and students of AIHM and CIHM.

Chandigarh, 27 th November 2018: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act,   1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), intends to amend the Chandigarh Water Supply Bye-Laws 2011 as amended from time to time and as in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation (as extended to UT Chandigarh) Act, 1994, read with sub section (2) of section 7A of the capital of Punjab (Development &Regulation) Act, 1952, the Administrator UT Chandigarh after according approval to the same propose to issue the draft of notification which is hereby published for information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
