Inauguration of Art Exhibition displaying pieces of art by M.N Sharma at Government Museum & Art Gallery

Chandigarh, 18 March, 2016: The Adviser to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS along with Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS Home Secretary, today inaugurated the Art Exhibition at Government Museum & Art Gallery, Sector 10, Chandigarh. 
The Adviser to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS along with Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS Home Secretary and Capt. Karnail Singh, Director, Government Museum and Art Gallery took the tour of the exhibition witnessing the spectacular art work followed by a video of Mr. M.N Sharma and his art work display at his home. The event was concluded by the address notes of the Adviser to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. Parimal Rai, and Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS Home Secretary appreciating the contribution of M.N. Sharma Architectural Society Chandigarh to the collection at the Government Museum & Art Gallery, Chandigarh. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS urged everyone to retrace and live in synchronisation with nature and appreciated the perfect blend of nature and architecture he enjoyed at the museum.
The exhibition displays art pieces donated by M.N. Sharma Architectural Society Chandigarh and will continue for six months. These works were gifted by the master architect Mr. M.N. Sharma himself and the section has also been dedicated to the ten artworks and named M.N. Sharma collection. This is a significant association with the history of the city and the museum, Le Corbusier designed.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
