Inauguration of NCC Headquarter

Chandigarh, 01 March, 2016: NCC is known for unity and discipline and these values in today’s world are necessary for the whole nation said H.E. Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, Punjab and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh today at sector 31 on the occasion of inauguration of the headquarters of NCC. The headquarter situated in sector 31 monitors the working of Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh states. The total expenditure incurred in the construction of the centre is 23 crore and 61 lakh rupees.
H.E. Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, Punjab and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh expressed his happiness over the participation and winning of NCC banner title during the Republic Day Parade held in New Delhi this year. H.E. Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki addressed the cadets and appreciated them for the confidence that each cadet has, he also appreciated the efforts of conveying positive message through campaigns like blood donation, Anti dowry, AIDS etc.

H.E. Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, Punjab and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh said that such organizations give the children great confidence and be successful in life.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
