Chandigarh, 2nd March, 2016: An Inquiry into the
Custodial Death of under trail prisoner Deep Chand S/o Badri Parshad on
11.05.2011 who was lodged in Model Jail, U.T., Chandigarh ,is been
conducted by the Sub Divisional Magistrate (South), U.T.,
Chandigarh, Smt. Kriti Garg, IAS. Any person concerned who would like
to throw light into the circumstances of death of the said
under-trail prisoner can appear in the court of Sub Divisional Magistrate (South),
Hockey Stadium, Sports Complex, Sector-42, Chandigarh on
or before 09.03.2016.
7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
