Chandigarh, 10th March,
2016:- To facilitate citizens
of Chandigarh for provisions like electricity and water bill payment, pollution
check, traffic updates, online polling and different e-services of different
departments of Chandigarh Administration, a citizen engagement portal/website
called “My Chandigarh” will be
launched tomorrow by the Administration. This portal will be available on “Smart Chandigarh” mobile application
also. This project has been designed and developed by the team consisting of
officials of “Smart City Mission” i.e. Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, State Mission
Director and Sh. Danish Ashraf, IAS, Nodal Officer, Smart City Mission. Besides
this portal, the Administration will also launch “e-Awaas” portal which is “first
of its kind” portal in India meant to give details of Govt. House
Accommodation. This project has been designed by Sh. Danish Ashraf, IAS, who is
also Secretary (Lower) House Allotment Committee under guidance of Sh. S.B
Deepak Kumar, IAS, Secretary (Upper) House Allotment Committee. Now, all
applications and details related to Govt. House Allotment will be received and
resolved with the help of this portal. NIC, Chandigarh has also been
instrumental for development of both these projects.
Chandigarh 10 th August 2017: In compliance of the directions of the Government of India to take steps for improvement of ranking in “Ease of Doing Business’ index, the Chandigarh Administration has notified Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017. The existing building byelaws/orders/notifications issued from time to time have been reviewed bya committee. Since amendments to the building Rules were never compiled before, therefore, comparative analysis of existing building byelaws applicable in Chandigarh was done viz-a-viz Haryana Building Code 2016, TCPO Model Building Byelaws 2016 and NBC 2017. This exercise has simplified the building Rules as each and every rule has been tabulated and individual chapters including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Institutional, IT Park, High Rise buildings etc. The report had been earlier approved by the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh after seeking views from general public.
