Raid in Grain Market

Chandigarh, 18th March , 2016: In the presence and guidance of  Sh. Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate (East), U.T, Chandigarh a team of Sanitary Inspectors, raided the Grain Market, Sector 26, Chandigarh today at 04.00 AM  and issued 21 challans of Rs 500/- and one challan of Rs 5000/- to the offenders and has seized approximately 30 kg Polythene.
 In addition to this, one person has also been arrested for violating  the orders passed by District Magistrate, U.T, Chandigarh on banning the sale and usage of polythene carry bags  U/s 144 Cr.P.C.

Chandigarh, 27 th November 2018: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act,   1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), intends to amend the Chandigarh Water Supply Bye-Laws 2011 as amended from time to time and as in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation (as extended to UT Chandigarh) Act, 1994, read with sub section (2) of section 7A of the capital of Punjab (Development &Regulation) Act, 1952, the Administrator UT Chandigarh after according approval to the same propose to issue the draft of notification which is hereby published for information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
