Charges of Excise & Taxation Commissioner

Chandigarh, 26th April, 2016: In pursuance of Chandigarh Administration Department of Personnel’s order bearing No. 22/5/54-IH(4)-2016/6281 dated 30.03.2016 and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Punjab Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Punjab Act No. 8 of 2005) as applicable to the Union Territory of Chandigarh, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to appoint Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Union Territory, Chandigarh as Excise &  Taxation Commissioner for the Union Territory of Chandigarh with effect from 30.03.2016.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
