Inauguration of various initiatives by Health Department, under the Rogi Kalyan Samiti scheme

Chandigarh, April 11th, 2016: Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary cum Secretary Health, U.T. Chandigarh today inaugurated various initiatives by Health Department and under the Rogi Kalyan Samiti scheme in Civil Hospital of Sector 22 in the presence of Sh. Prince Dhawan, IAS, SDM (C), Dr. Vanita Gupta, Director Health Services and other senior officials of the Chandigarh Administration and the Health Department.
He inaugurated two new Dental Chairs in the department of Dentistry which are fully equipped with X-Ray and RVG and a Blood Storage Unit in the Civil Hospital, Sector-22.
 Under the Rogi Kalyan Samiti scheme a NBSU (New Born Sick Unit) which has a resuscitation kit, 2 new baby warmers and Photo Therapy Unit were inaugurated by Sh. Anurag Aggarwal, IAS, Home Secretary cum Secretary Health, U.T. Chandigarh. Under the same scheme he inaugurated 24x7 Snack Bar and a small counter which has essentials for newborns for the convenience of patients and their attendants.
Addressing the gathering Sh. Anurag Aggarwal, IAS, Home Secretary cum Secretary Health, U.T. Chandigarh said, “This initiative has been taken up for the sustainability of this hospital. The administration is very keen in bringing latest facilities in all our government hospitals so that the patients get best treatment. Personally I would like to appreciate the Health Department for this tremendous job”.
He also visited the Food Safety Van which was stationed today at Civil Hospital Sector-22, Chandigarh. He interacted with the public who were getting the food samples tested.
Dr. Vanita Gupta, Director Health Services informed that the Blood Storage Unit will be able to provide Blood 24X7 to any patient requiring this in the Civil Hospital, Sector-22, Chandigarh.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
