National Electoral Rolls Purification (NERP)-2016

Chandigarh, 22nd April, 2016: It is for the information of General Public as well as the Political Parties that the Election Commission of India has launched an intensive drive “national Electoral Rolls Purification (NERP)-2016 which will include enrolment of all eligible left out citizens and removal of duplicate/shifted/dead electors from the Electoral Rolls and also correction of particulars in Electoral Rolls. For this purpose checking of Photo Electoral Rolls by the Election Department, U.T., Chandigarh has been undertaken w.e.f. 23.04.2016 to 13.05.2016 by visiting the B.L.Os at your doorstep. All residents of Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency are requested to give full co-operation to B.L.O’s at the time of their visit to their residence for verification with the Photo Electoral Rolls-2016. Further, the Booth level Officer will also sit at their polling station on Special Campaign dates i.e. 23.04.2016, 24.04.2016, 01.05.2016  & 08.05.2016 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for receiving the claims and objections from the eligible residents of Chandigarh.

Public Camp Chandigarh, 28 January, 2016 :-  It is for the information of the general public that the public camp for 29/01/2016 is to be held at community centre of Sector 45. The sectors covered in the camp would be Sector 44, 45 including burial Village, 46 and 33 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM.
