48th anniversary of the Govt. Museum and Art Gallery

Chandigarh, 5^th May, 2016: On the occasion of 48^th anniversary of the Govt. Museum and Art Gallery, Sector 10-C, Chandigarh, the museum is allowing free entry for all visitors on 6^th May, 2016. A painting competition is also being organized on the same day on the theme “My Museum”. The participation is open for general public under three categories: 13 – 15 years, 16 – 18 yrs and above 18 years. In each category, the best three entries will be suitably awarded and given certificates.  Selected works will be exhibited in the different sections of the museum from 18^th May, 2016 i.e. International Museums Day to the end of the month. 

Interested candidates should register themselves at the reception counter of the Govt. Museum and Art Gallery, Sector 10-C, Chandigarh on 06.05.2016. The participants will be given cartridge sheets. They have to bring their own colouring material (any medium) and drawing boards. The event will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The work done by the participants   will be submitted at the reception counter of the Govt. Museum by 4:00 pm.  For any queries, please contact Deputy Curator at 9779 129129.
