48th anniversary of the Govt. Museum and Art Gallery

Chandigarh, 5th May, 2016: On the occasion of 48th anniversary of the Govt. Museum and Art Gallery, Sector 10-C, Chandigarh, the museum is allowing free entry for all visitors on 6th May, 2016. A painting competition is also being organized on the same day on the theme “My Museum”. The participation is open for general public under three categories: 13 – 15 years, 16 – 18 yrs and above 18 years. In each category, the best three entries will be suitably awarded and given certificates.  Selected works will be exhibited in the different sections of the museum from 18th May, 2016 i.e. International Museums Day to the end of the month. 
Interested candidates should register themselves at the reception counter of the Govt. Museum and Art Gallery, Sector 10-C, Chandigarh on 06.05.2016. The participants will be given cartridge sheets. They have to bring their own colouring material (any medium) and drawing boards. The event will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The work done by the participants   will be submitted at the reception counter of the Govt. Museum by 4:00 pm.  For any queries, please contact Deputy Curator at 9779 129129.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
