Chandigarh Child & Women Development Corp. Ltd Organizes a Session on ''Harmful Effects of Tobacco"

Chandigarh, 27th May, 2016: Chandigarh Child & Women  Development Corp. Ltd organized a session on ''Harmful Effects of Tobacco" in association with the  Fortis Hospital on 27.05.2016 at Observation & Special Home, Sector 25. Dr. Zafar Ahmad Iqbal & Dr. Meena Batla gave the presentation and discussed with the Children of the home that how they can protect themselves from the harmful effects of Tabacco, Biddi, Cigarettes and other Substance Drugs. Dr. Zafar also gave a power point presentation in this regard and suggested the ways/ solutions through which one can leave this habit with medical assistance and strong self determination etc. At the end of the presentation, an interactive session was also held with the children of the home in which all the children participated & discussed their problems. Next session will be held at Snehalaya on 30.05.2016.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
