Meeting Held Regarding Arranging Big Accommodations for AWCs

Chandigarh, 10th May, 2016: Smt. Nishu Singhal, Director Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Chandigarh Administration held a meeting with all the Sarpanches of 13 villages of Chandigarh at her office regarding arranging big accommodation for AWCs in Dharmshala, community centres and private houses in the villages. They were intimated about other schemes of the Department and loans facility by the SCBC & Min. Development Corporation and Women and Child Development. It was decided that a meeting of Sarpanches, Panches and Members of Zila Parshid will be held on 20th May, 2016 at Senior Citizen Home, Sector 43, Chandigarh to make them familiar with all the schemes of the department as well as other flagships programmes being undertaken by the department.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
