Mountaineering Course/ Expedition

Chandigarh, 26th May, 2016: Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration in association with the Indian Mountaineering Foundation has taken the first batch of 28 specially abled persons and 5 escort members for Mountaineering Course/ Expedition on 13.05.2016 to Manali. Whereas, 28 Specially abled participants have completed 12 days of the said course they did rock crafts in which they learnt natural and artificial rock climbing, rappelling, jummarring and physically river crossing. There are humungous things to learn in mountains, trained instructors have been taken the theory classes with the help of sign language interpreter. Further, they have tracked 14 km to reach Solang Vally on 25th May 2016. Here they will be going to learn Ice Crafts and Snow crafts& expedition will continue till 10 June, 2016. On contrary, the first batch of women has gone to Dargelling for Mountaineering on 25 May 2016.

Public Camp Chandigarh, 28 January, 2016 :-  It is for the information of the general public that the public camp for 29/01/2016 is to be held at community centre of Sector 45. The sectors covered in the camp would be Sector 44, 45 including burial Village, 46 and 33 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM.
