Chandigarh, 26th May, 2016: Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child
Development, Chandigarh Administration in association with the Indian
Mountaineering Foundation has taken the first batch of 28 specially abled
persons and 5 escort members for Mountaineering Course/ Expedition on
13.05.2016 to Manali. Whereas, 28 Specially abled participants have completed
12 days of the said course they did rock crafts in which they learnt natural
and artificial rock climbing, rappelling, jummarring and physically river
crossing. There are humungous things to learn in mountains, trained instructors
have been taken the theory classes with the help of sign language interpreter.
Further, they have tracked 14 km to reach Solang Vally on 25th May 2016. Here they will be going to learn Ice
Crafts and Snow crafts& expedition will continue till 10 June, 2016. On
contrary, the first batch of
women has gone to Dargelling for Mountaineering on 25 May 2016.
7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
