Registrations for Training Camps Open for Public with Launch of Website & Toll Free Number

Chandigarh, 17th May, 2016: H.E. Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor Haryana and Punjab and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh today launched the official website iyd.chd.gov.in  of the 2nd International Day of Yoga, by registering himself as the first citizen of the city. The Governor also launched the Toll Free Number- 18001802072, Facebook Page “International Day of Yoga 2016, Chandigarh” Twitter Handle “iydchandigarh2016”, Instagram Account “International Day of Yoga 2016”, Youtube Channel “International Day of Yoga 2016 Chandigarh” at the Haryana Raj Bhawan. Registrations via Toll Free Number can be done from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 A.M to 06:00 P.M.

The Launching was done in the presence of Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS Adviser to the Administrator, U.T Chandigarh, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary U.T. Chandigarh, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS Deputy Commissioner, U.T, Chandigarh, Sh. Amit Talwar, PCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner U.T Chandigarh, Sh. Virender Chaudhary, HCS Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation U.T. Chandigarh and other officers of the Chandigarh Administration.

H.E Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor Haryana and Punjab and Administrator U.T Chandigarh appreciated the efforts of the Chandigarh Administration and said, “It is a privilege for the city that we are hosting the 2nd International Day of Yoga 2016. The Administration has put in lot of efforts for the big day by getting more than 800 experts trained with the protocol yoga and setting up 200 centers across the city for the orientation programme” he further appealed to all the residents to get themselves registered through the website and participate in the Yoga Day.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
