Soil Health Card Scheme

Chandigarh, 27th May, 2016: The Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India is emphasizing Soil Health Card Scheme in association with the States and U.T., Governments. In alignment with this, the Department of Agriculture, U.T., Chandigarh have been launched a innovated campaign for collection of soil samples from the fields of farmers of all the village of U.T., Chandigarh to complete 100% soil testing for issuance of Soil Health Cards with the collaboration of the Department of Rural Development & Revenue Authority, UT, Chandigarh w.e.f. 23.05.2016 as per village wise programme (copy enclosed).

It is for the information of all the owners of the agriculture land of UT, Chandigarh to remain present in the village concerned as per village wise programme already available with the concerned Gram Panchayat.  For further any detail regarding soil testing and issuance of Soil Health Cards, the owner of agriculture land in UT Chandigarh may contact the Agriculture Development Officer/Supervisor of the Agriculture Department at their mobiles numbers i.e. 9988251080 of A.D.O and 9417959989 of Supervisor OR concerned Gram Panchayat.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
