Chandigarh, May 28th, 2016: The Art of Living, Chandigarh Chapter today organized a free yoga
session in co-ordination with the Chandigarh Administration and The Department
of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development for rickshaw pullers of the
city at Rose Garden from 6-7 am. The camp has been organized for the
first time in the city with an initiative towards uplifting the health and the
mind of all the sections of the society. More than 20 Rickshaw pullers
have registered till date for the 2nd International Day of Yoga to be
held at Capitol Complex on 21st June 2016. On 28th May
2016, 22 Rickshaw pullers attended the special camp at the Rose Garden. The
camp will be conducted in Rose Garden till Monday following which these
Rickshaw pullers will attend the camps in their respective residing areas. Sh.
Madan, The Union Head of the Rickshaw Pullers has himself initiated and motivated
these individuals.
Chandigarh 10 th August 2017: In compliance of the directions of the Government of India to take steps for improvement of ranking in “Ease of Doing Business’ index, the Chandigarh Administration has notified Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017. The existing building byelaws/orders/notifications issued from time to time have been reviewed bya committee. Since amendments to the building Rules were never compiled before, therefore, comparative analysis of existing building byelaws applicable in Chandigarh was done viz-a-viz Haryana Building Code 2016, TCPO Model Building Byelaws 2016 and NBC 2017. This exercise has simplified the building Rules as each and every rule has been tabulated and individual chapters including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Institutional, IT Park, High Rise buildings etc. The report had been earlier approved by the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh after seeking views from general public.
