Yoga Orientation Programme kickstarts in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 12th May, 2016: The Yoga Orientation Programme began today at the Cricket Stadium in Sector-16, Chandigarh from 6:00 am to 7:00 am as part of the upcoming International Yoga Day celebrations to be held on 21st June, 2016 Chandigarh. Certified yoga instructors and experts were imparted training as per the 45 minutes yoga protocol, chalked out by the Ministry of AYUSH for the main event.


The yoga experts who attended the session have been teaching yoga in schools, colleges and institutes. These volunteers consists of yoga experts from PATANJALI YOGPEETH, which has been officially appointed by the Government of India to coordinate and assist Chandigarh Administration in organizing the grand event of Yoga Day and from other institutes like Art of Living, Yoga Vidya Maha Samiti, Brahmrishi Yoga Training College, International Brahmrishi Mission and Isha Foundation. Post training these yoga experts would conduct yoga workshops from 21st May, 2016 for people of all ages throughout the city. The yoga orientation programme would be conducted till 15th May, 2015.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
