Yoga Orientation Programme to be held in Chandigarh

As a part of the upcoming National level International Yoga Day celebrations to be held on 21st June, 2016 in Chandigarh, a yoga orientation programme is being organized for certified yoga instructors and experts from 11th to 13th May, 2016 at the Cricket Stadium in Sector-16, Chandigarh from 6:00 am to 7:00 am in the morning.

The orientation programme is being conducted to impart training to the yoga masters as per the 45 minutes yoga protocol that has been chalked out by the Ministry of AYUSH. For the National level celebrations, Ministry of AYUSH has appointed various institutes for different cities of the country. PATANJALI YOGPEETH has been officially appointed by Government of India to coordinate and assist Chandigarh Administration in organizing the grand event of Yoga Day. Other organizations like the Yoga Vidya Maha Samiti, Brahmrishi Yoga Training College, International Brahmrishi Mission, Chandigarh Yoga Academy, Art of Living and Isha Foundation have also come forward to extend support for organizing the event.

Among the 800 yoga experts and instructors, who would be a part of the yoga orientation programme, 221 yoga experts would be from PATANJALI YOGPEETH. Post training these yoga experts would conduct yoga workshops from 21st May, 2016 for people of all ages at public places like schools, colleges, institutions, parks, offices etc. These volunteers would also be a part of the main event which would take place in Chandigarh on 21st June, 2016.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
