Yoga Orientation Programme

Chandigarh, 9th May, 2016: As a part of the upcoming National level International Yoga Day celebrations to be held on 21st June, 2016 in Chandigarh, a yoga orientation programme will be conducted for certified yoga instructors and experts from 11th to 13th May, 2016 at the Cricket Stadium in Sector-16, Chandigarh from 6:00 am to 7:00 am.

The orientation programme is being conducted for yoga experts who have been teaching yoga in schools, colleges and institutes. Through the programme, the experts would be imparted training as per the 45 minutes yoga protocol, which has been chalked out by the Ministry of AYUSH. 

Post training these yoga experts would conduct yoga workshops from 21st May, 2016 for people of all ages at public places like schools, colleges, institutions, parks, offices etc. These volunteers, who would also be a part of the main event on 21st June, 2016 consist of experts and instructors from the Yoga Vidya Maha Samiti, Brahmrishi Yoga Training College, International Brahmrishi Mission, Chandigarh Yoga Academy, Art of Living and Esha Foundation.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
