15th International Architecture Exhibition

Chandigarh, 1st June, 2016: Carico Della Fondazione La Biennale Di Venezia organized 15th International Architecture Exhibition at Venice, Italy from 25th May, 2016 to 27th November, 2016 where Rock Garden, Chandigarh was also invited to participate and display its design and architecture.
The 88 participants from different countries participated in the event and Rock Garden at Chandigarh had been selected one of them from India. The beautiful model of Rock Garden made of Fiber glass had been exhibited in the exhibition in an area of 18 meter x 6 meter. The world famous and highest Pritzker Architecture award winner Mr. Alejandro Aravena was the art director of the exhibition. A meeting with him was held during the exhibition to discuss and plan a similar Art Biennale at Rock Garden Chandigarh. Mr. John Maizels, the Editor-in-Chief of the famous art magazine Raw Vision, U.K. Founder President of Nek Chand Foundation worldwide also came to attend the Venice Biennale.
It was a very prestigious exhibition and will help us in boosting the image of Rock Garden and tourism potential of Chandigarh. It would also promote Chandigarh Tourism throughout the world enhancing the image of Rock Garden and the city beautiful Chandigarh worldwide.
The description as under :-
i)                   Layout of the beautiful city with important buildings i.e. Secretariat, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Assembly Hall, Gandhi Bhawan, Student Center, Chandigarh College of Architecture, Press Building, Tagore Theatre.
ii)            Statue made of waste material like broken china ware, broken bangles, unburnt coal pieces.
iii)              Boundary wall of Garden made of empty bitumen drums.
iv)              Model of waterfall of height of 100’-0” Rock Garden.
v)                Statue of different animals.
vi)              Statue of Late Padam Shri Nek Chand Ji, the founder of Rock Garden.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
