Blood Donation Camp

Chandigarh, 14th June, 2016: The Indian Red Cross Society, U.T. Branch, Chandigarh organized a Blood Donation Camp on the eve of “World Blood Donor Day” today under the theme of “Blood Connects Us All” in association with the Govt Multy Speciality Hospital, Sector-16, Chandigarh at Karuna Sadan Building, Sector 11-B, Chandigarh.  The Camp was inaugurated by Sh. Virender Chaudhary, HCS, Secretary, Red Cross Society and Sh. D.P. Khandelia, Treasurer, Red Cross Society, Chandigarh. They appreciated the volunteers and donors for this humanitarian cause.  The Donors donated 71 units of blood.  The co-ordinator of the Camp was     Sh. Sushil Kumar Taank, Training Supervisor and Red Cross Team managed the camp. The camp was a great success.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
