Submission of Plans for Additions and Alterations in Dwelling Units

Chandigarh, 10th June, 2016:   Allottees of all CHB dwelling units, who have already made additions and alterations in their respective dwelling units which are not as per the standard designs, are hereby allowed to submit their plans to Chandigarh Housing Board for approval of the said additions/alterations alongwith Structural design and duly stamped certificate of structural stability by a Registered Structural Engineer subject to the following conditions:-

1.     The proposal does not exceed 70% ground coverage and FAR of 2.0 and shall also be conforming to the byelaws applicable to the houses allotted by the Estate Officer, UT, Chandigarh.

2.     Mutual consent of all allottees i.e. ground floor, first floor, second floor, third floor etc. of the block and also of the adjoining floor having a common wall.  For the purpose of this, a block is defined as all the dwelling units which are accessed by the common staircase.

3.     The allottees are required to deposit fee @Rs.200/- (Rs. two hundred only) per Sq.ft. for additional coverage done without prior approval subject to a minimum of Rs.20,000/- (Rs. Twenty thousand only). 


This is over and above the need based changes allowed through various CHB’s orders and standard designs

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
