Bye-election Notification

Chandigarh, 20th July, 2016:  Sh. Rakesh Mehta, State Election Commissioner, Union Territory, Chandigarh in consultation with the Chandigarh Administration, has appointed the following officers shown in the table below, as the Assistant Electoral Registration officers in connection with forthcoming bye-election to fill up two casual vacancies of Panches i.e. one each in Gram Panchayat of Village Daria and Behlana, in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.  The officers so appointed as Assistant Electoral Registration Officers are also appointed as Assistant Returning Officers under the provisions of Rule 6(2) of the Chandigarh Panchayat Election Rules, 1994, mentioned in the table below, in connection with aforesaid bye election:-

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
