Health Camp to be held at Public Health Dispensary, Sector 25 on 9th July, 2016

Chandigarh, 7th July, 2016: Chandigarh Health Department in Collaboration with School of Public Health, PGIMER,  Gynae. deptt. GMCH-32 and State Bank of Patiala is going to organize free Health Camp at Public Health Dispensary, Sector 25 on 9thJuly, 2016 (Saturday) from 8.00 AM onwards. This in continuation of previous four Health Camps held at Daddu Majra, Maulijagran, Dhanas and Ramdarbar.

Dr. Vanita Gupta, Director Health Services said that the doctors from various specialities like Medicine, Gynae., Skin, Eye and ENT will be examining patients and will be providing free consultation. Health promotion and awareness generation regarding prevention, timely detection and management of Non Communicable Diseases and other diseases will be the main highlight of the screening camp along with Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva (PMSMA) Abhiyan which will provide complete range of quality and essential maternal health services as part of antenatal care services on that day and it would also be provided on 9th of every month to the beneficiaries at PHD-25.

She further said that people will be screened for leprosy, Oral, Breast and Cervical Cancers. Women above 30 yrs. will be screened for Breast and Cervical Cancer by Gynaecologists from Chandigarh Health Department and Gynae deptt. GMCH-32. Risk profiling of patients will also be done for Non Communicable Diseases. General public will also be sensitised about adoption of healthy lifestyle including healthy food and importance of physical activity. Mobile food testing van will also be available at the venue for testing food samples and various laboratory tests including Blood Sugar, HIV, VDRL, and Lipid Profile will also be conducted at the venue. People are requested to visit this camp to avail all Specialized and Antenatal services.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
