National Awards for Excellence in Journalism

Chandigarh, 29th July, 2016: Press Council is seeking entry for National Awards for Excellence in Journalism. November 16 is observed as the National Press Day, by the Press Council of India, a statutory autonomous authority, set up by an Act of Parliament to Preserve the freedom of the press and maintain its high standards. The Council is completing 50 years of its establishment and, therefore, a Golden Jubilee Commemoration on November, 16, is being contemplated. A Function to this effect will be held in Delhi, coinciding with conferment of National Awards for Excellence in print Journalism in various fields. The entries for Awards have been invited through advertisement. The same can be seen on the website of the Press Council of India i.e. www.presscouncil.nic.in with other documents.

Chandigarh, 27 th November 2018: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act,   1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), intends to amend the Chandigarh Water Supply Bye-Laws 2011 as amended from time to time and as in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation (as extended to UT Chandigarh) Act, 1994, read with sub section (2) of section 7A of the capital of Punjab (Development &Regulation) Act, 1952, the Administrator UT Chandigarh after according approval to the same propose to issue the draft of notification which is hereby published for information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
