Chandigarh, 4th July, 2016: It has been pointed out that the general
public has to face inconvenience and harassment at the time of submitting their
application forms for transfer of properties, deposit of fees, submission of
other documents etc at Chandigarh Housing Board. As per the existing practice,
the Public Relations Officers (PROs) examine the forms at the time of
submission and do not accept the incomplete documents.
Keeping in view these circumstances, on the persistent demand of
the general public, in the interest of public service and to facilitate the
delivery of services to the general public, it is hereby ordered that the
Public Relations Officers (PROs) shall accept all the applications, documents,
fees etc. and they shall have a preliminary examination of the documents and if
there is any obvious shortcoming, the same shall be mentioned on the receipt
for the information/guidance of the applicant as well as for the information of
the concerned branch. However, it is the concerned branch that shall deal with
the application and take a final view on the completeness of the application
& other documents submitted therewith.
