Appointment of Additional Excise & Taxation Commissioner-cum-Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner

Chandigarh, 29th August, 2016: The Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to appoint Sh. Rakesh Kumar Popli, PCS as Additional Excise & Taxation Commissioner-cum-Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner to assist the Excise and Taxation Commissioner, U.T., Chandigarh, for carrying out the purpose of the said Act and exercising the powers of Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner (Appeals), with effect from the date he assumed charge as such and is further pleased to confer upon him, the powers specified under column 3 to be exercised within the jurisdiction, specified in column 4 of the schedule given below:-

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
