Chandigarh, 2nd August, 2016: In Pursuance of Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, New Delhi’s Letter No. 11020/04/2015-AI-III, dated 25.05.2016, the Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh is pleased to relieve Dr. Adapa Karthik, IAS (PB:2008), Secretary Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Chandigarh Administration from the Chandigarh Administration w.e.f. 31.07.2016 (Afternoon) to enable him to proceed for study leave from 1st August 2016 to 15th July 2018 to pursue Master of Public Health (MPH) in Gillings school of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chape Hill (UNC-CH), North Carolina State,  United States of America .

Dr. Adapa Karthik, IAS, shall be repatriated to his parent State of Punjab in absentia on receipt of approval from the competent authority in Government of India.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
