Amendments in the Chandigarh Victim Assistance Scheme, 2012

Chandigarh, 29th September, 2016: In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 357A of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act 2 of 1974), the Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, is please to amend the Union Territory of Chandigarh Victim Assistance Scheme, 2012:-

1.  This scheme may be called the Union Territory of Chandigarh Victim Assistance (Amendment) Scheme, 2016.
2.    It shall come into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of Union Territory of Chandigarh Administration.
3.   In clause 12 of the Union Territory of Chandigarh Victim Assistance Scheme, 2012 (hereinafter referred to as said Scheme), under the heading “Quantum of Assistance”, the Schedule-I annexed with the said Scheme shall be substituted henceforth as reproduced under:-

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
