Inauguration of 42nd e-sampark centre

Chandigarh 28th , September, 2016:  Committed to the cause of enhancing the e-governance capabilities by reaching out to the residents in every  corner of the City and addressing the long pending demand of the sector – 41 residents, the Department of Information Technology, Chandigarh Administration opened  a new  e-Sampark Centre in Sector 41 today. Smt. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, Chandigarh inaugurated the 42nd e-sampark centre .Opening of this centre will further strengthen the network of sampark centres in city and will make the public services more accessible to the residents. This was a much needed e-sampark centre as there was huge demand of a full fledge e-sampark centre in Sector – 41 which can cater to the increasing footfall of residents e-sampark centre of sector-40 & 43 which will ease the pressure on these centres. This is the biggest e-sampark centre of Chandigarh which has 5 counters equipped with state of the art IT infrastructure to deliver  all 78 G2C, G2B & B2C services efficiently and residents can also avail the quality citizen centric  services like payment of electricity bill & water bill through any debit/ credit card and e-stamping of any denomination from this centre today.Smt. Kirron Kher lauded the efforts of Department of Information Technology & Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration for setting up this e-sampark Centre in such a short span of time.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
