Meeting held for control of fever cases by the Health Department

Chandigarh, 19th September, 2016: In view of increase in number of fever cases high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director Health Services and following decisions were taken:
1.                 “Fever OPD” will function from 8 am to 8 pm in the new OPD block Room No. 304  Second floor  for examination, investigation and treatment of patients
2.                 The strength of Medical/Para Medical staff  has been increased to cope up the work load
3.                 The planned surgeries will remain postponed  till the situation is eased out
4.                 Adequate quantity of medicines/consumables/IV fluids are available for the management of fever cases
5.                 The laboratory services are available 24X7 for all patients including fever cases
6.                 Only patients suspected to be of dengue/chikangunia will be subject to specialize investigation
7.                  All residents are directed not to panic during fever and should take only Paracetamol till they are examined by the doctors in the dispensary/hospitals.
8.                 The investigation if any should only be undertaken on doctors advice and  self medication should be avoided

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
