Tourism Week Celebrations

Chandigarh, 22nd September, 2016: The Department of Tourism Chandigarh Administration is celebrating Tourism Week from 25th September 2016 to 27th September 2016. The Program would begin with “Su- Prabhat” Morning Raga on Indian Classical & Fusion Music on 25th September 2016 at Sukhna Lake at 6:00 AM which will be graced with the presence of Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary cum Secretary Tourism, U.T Chandigarh. The day will be followed by a Health and Wellness conclave in Museum & Art Gallery at 10:00 AM and Vintage Car / Harley Davidson Rally which will be held from Open hand at Capitol Complex to Sukhna lake and will be flagged off by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator U.T Chandigarh Sh. V.P Singh Badnore at 11:00 AM.

During the Tourism Week, Sector 17 plaza will hear the echo of Indian Cultural Bonanza, Musical Presentations of Punjab, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and many more states on 26th September 2016, 6:30 PM onwards.

Sh. Parimal Rai, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T Chandigarh will flag off Run For Tourism 4 all from Sukhna lake to Open Hand. The day will be followed by a Musical Evening by Amy Virk, Ali Brothers and Jenny Johal at 6:30 PM in Sector 17 plaza, Chandigarh

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
