Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Sh. JP Nadda Launches AMRIT Pharmacy, Advanced MRI Machine at GMCH-32

Chandigarh, 10th September, 2016: Hon’ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda was in the City Beautiful today to inaugurate the 1.5 Tesla MRI, 64 Slice CT and Digital Radiography System at GMCH, Sector-32.

The Union Minister also inaugurated AMRIT (Affordable Medicine and Reliable Implants for Treatment) pharmacy, an affordable place for buying medical appliances like stents, implants and generic drugs.

Smt. Kirron Kher , Member of Parliament, U.T., Chandigarh, Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home secretary cum SMER ,Sh. Atul Sachdev, Director Principal were also present during the occasion.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
