Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition Organized Flower Arrangement & Bottle Gardening Workshop

Chandigarh, 21st October, 2016: Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, Sector-42D Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, organised a two day Flower Arrangement & Bottle Gardening Workshop facilitated by Smt. Nandita Chaturvedi, Resource Person from “The All India Kitchen Garden Association, New Delhi.”

The second day of the workshop commenced at an exhilarating note as Smt. Chaturvedi trained the students about the immaculate techniques of growing plants inside a bottle. She indoctrinated the audience about innovative uses of bottle gardening. “It is rightly said, you are never too old to learn and I feel delighted to be a part of this workshop”, said one of the faculty members from IHM Bangalore.

The event progressed with the welcoming of the Chief Guest, Sh. R.K Popli, PCS, Director Technical Education, U.T Administration, Chandigarh followed by his distribution of certificates. “This institute always takes the initiative of undertaking something innovative and when I see these exotic flowers orchestrated magnificently, they fill my heart with sheer happiness”, said the Chief Guest.

 The workshop concluded with an interactive question & answer session between the resource person and students filled with zeal and fervour. Smt. Bharti Tyagi, Principal of the Institute thanked the resource person, the faculty members from other institutes and the students for making the event successful.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
