Preventive Activities by Health Department

Chandigarh, 13th October, 2016: Over last four days 28 cases of Dengue has been reported from various health institutions which includes 20 new cases and 8 confirmed amongst probable cases which brings the total number of Dengue cases to 578 in the city.10 fresh cases of Chickungunya have been reported by GMCH 32 and PGIMER. The details of 88 cases of Chickungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 28 imported, 24 wrong address and 36 from Chandigarh.

To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out alongwith strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources. Today under dengue drive

Chandigarh, 27 th November 2018: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act,   1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), intends to amend the Chandigarh Water Supply Bye-Laws 2011 as amended from time to time and as in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation (as extended to UT Chandigarh) Act, 1994, read with sub section (2) of section 7A of the capital of Punjab (Development &Regulation) Act, 1952, the Administrator UT Chandigarh after according approval to the same propose to issue the draft of notification which is hereby published for information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
