Preventive activities by Health Department

Chandigarh, 18th October, 2016: Today 10 cases of Dengue has been reported from various health institutions which includes 7 new cases and 3 confirmed amongst probable cases (till the release of press note) which brings the total number of Dengue cases to 634 in the city.7 fresh cases of Chikungunya have been reported by GMCH 32 and PGIMER, out of which 5 are from Chandigarh and 2 with wrong address. The overall details of 105 cases of Chikungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 31 imported, 29 wrong address and 45 from Chandigarh.

All residents of Chandigarh are requested that in case of any complaint related to fogging kindly send a SMS to helpline number 9779558282
To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out alongwith strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources. Today under dengue drive

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
