Preventive activities by Health Department

Chandigarh, 5th Oct, 2016: Taking a serious note of publications in various media as well as calls received on helpline number, Malaria wing has stepped up surveillance in the city under which a special drive was conducted today  at Bhaskar Colony and Kumhar Colony sector 25 and sector 40 Chandigarh. One team was led by Assistant Director Malaria at Bhaskar Colony and other team was led by Anti Malaria Officer Chandigarh at sector 40.Under this drive house to house visits were made. 8 challans and 20 notices has been issued. It was observed that inspite of repeated notices to general public, coolers and containers are not cleaned.  Littering of garbage by general public is  posing a potential threat for growth of mosquito.
 Yesterday fogging was done at Sector 40 A, 39 C and D and 38 W.Today fogging will be done at Punjab University, Bhaskar Colony sector 25 and Sector 61 Chandigarh.
Today  14 cases of Dengue has been reported from various health institutions which includes 8 new cases and 6 confirmed amongst probable cases(till the release of press note)which brings the total number of Dengue cases to 489  in the city.3 fresh cases of Chickungunya have been reported by GMCH 32 and PGIMER. The details of 71 cases of chickungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 21 imported, 20 wrong address and 30 from Chandigarh.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
