Preventive activities for Chickungunya and Dengue

Chandigarh, 26th October, 2016: Today 17 cases of Dengue have been reported from various health institutions (till the release of press release) which brings the total number of Dengue cases to 710 in the city. 7 cases of Chickungunya have been reported today out of which 1 gave wrong address and 6 are from Chandigarh. The overall details of 145 cases of Chickungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 38 imported, 37 wrong address and 70 from Chandigarh.

To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out along with strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources. Today under dengue drive

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
